The Galaxy A51 From Samsung Tested

With the mid-range devices being evermore saturated than ever, I decided now is a good idea to look at a handset that is selling in massive numbers over the globe, the Samsung Galaxy A51. This phone a restrained yet still attractive design, the A51 has quad rear camera setup, an amoled display and a centrally located selfie camera, and a glass-tastick rear back.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 has been for sale in Europe from February and handset entered the marketplace in the US in April and sells for £330/$400.

Styling

Due to its glass-ticky rear, the Galaxy A51 doesn't really look or feel like a mid-range handset, the plastic construction feels more forgiving when in your grip because there aren't any sharp edges you can sometimes see on smartphones that have back panels made of glass. The design trait with the back paneling is nice and this adds a touch of personality to the device.
And Sometimes the branding on enbtry level smartphones is just a bit over the top at times, the Samsung logo is modestly used.
You will see a camera which, is becomes even prominent by what appears to be a metallic ring that draws eyes.
Sound enthusiasts will be happy in the fact that there is an sound connector placed on the handset's lower edge, with a Type C charging port and the speaker chamber.
On the top of the smartphone there is a microphone while the right-hand side has the power switch as well as the volume rocker and a SIM tray place on the other side.
It's a tidy if, classy device that will slip in a normal pocket with ease.

Galaxy A51 Performance And Speed

The Super AMOLED screen is great as you expect from this company}, the colours appear bright and phone's viewing angles being a pleasure. There's very little to whine about and yet some people will always find something, apart from it is a little dull (yet it is very legible) even when in direct sunlight and circumstances are not conducive to viewing, even when you have the contrast at 100%.
And this is where reviewing top of the range handsets such as OPPO’s Find X2 Pro and the OnePlus 8 is hurtful in developing a balanced perspective of a middle range device such as this handset.
The Exynos 9611 CPU can't compare to the Snapdragon 865 processorunit and going from the former to Snapdragon's 865 becomes a sobering experience until you remember that the A51 is a middle of the range smartphone and accommodations likely need to be given.
Make no mistake, the Samsung Galaxy A51 can be laggy upon occasion and we were sometimes left wondering whether the device had recognised the touch when attempting to start an app or use the phone.
This is just a level of lag that we have not experienced for a lot of years, even with cheaper handsets like the Honor 10 Lite that can be bought for a measly £140.
And as for the handset's in-display fingerprint scanner, suffice to say that Samsung should have rather put it on the rear panel as I only achieved a success roughly half when trying weblink to unlock the phone then ending up entering the pin code.
